Two videos!

Monday, June 26th, 2006

Check here for a new video to The Quiz (in which I play a girl who have a hard time finding Mr, or Mrs Right). In the making of it, I got to spoon about ten lovely people (and it wasn’t even my idea!) Robinovich made it.

Also, check here for an alternate video for My best friend.

Härnösand, Hultsfred, Paris

Monday, June 26th, 2006

We went to Härnösand (the city of the future). We went to Hultsfred (once again, check Rockfoto for pictures). And Maia and me went to Paris once again to play at CCS.

Some things have happened lately and it seems the songs I write right now all have a shade of sadness in them.

I love my neighbourhood.

Friday, June 9th, 2006

I woke up with a fever and an eye infection (no worries Härnösand, we’ll still come and play for you tomorrow.) Having an eye infection basically makes you look like you’ve been slapped around by Mike Tyson for a week or so. I slept for 16 hours and then went out to buy the paper and some coffee. The walk lasted for approximately 5 minutes. In that period of time, 6 people looked at me with sad eyes of compassion and finally, the man who worked in the coffee shop sweetly told me that if I needed a place to stay while leaving my husband, I could live with him and his wife for a couple of days!
I had to buy 2 extra big cupcakes off him. Now I have a stommac ache but am instead convinced of the good in humanity.

Other things we’ve been up to lately:

1. Kicking off the festival season at Siestafestivalen in Hässleholm.
(Summary: we played early to a lot of nice people who later on wanted us to sign their shoes, we ate a lot of good food, the audience once again failed to understand The best night of your life which made us realise perhaps we should stop playing that song live… we listened to Audrey, Kristian Antilla, the Slaves, and Hets)

2. Driving like madmen (well, those of us with driving licenses, i.e all of us except for amoebas Annika and Jens) to make it to Balstafestivalen in Eskilstuna the day after.
(Summary: appreciated number of people in audience: 100, appreciated number of people working in gardens nearby: 300)

3. Driving like even madder men to make it to Popaganda in Stockholm two hours later.
(Summary: appearantly the sound was a bit weird but we had the best time EVER, thousands of people in the audience including my parents, Ludde was with us, one nice girl told me she’d done a presentation at school based on Highschool stalker, we didn’t play Best time of your life, look at some pictures from our favorites at Rockfoto)

4. Maia and me went to Århus (DK) to play at SPOT. I travelled for like 14 hours in each direction but it was definitely worth it, meeting with all of you nice Danes and sometimes I even understood what you said. Afterwords, we danced all night and had the best soup of our lives.

Other than that – there’s a lot of things happening. I’ll be sure to tell you more about it as soon as I know more. Next week, if you’re in Stockholm, please stop by Debaser this Wednesday to join us as we celebrate the birth of Would you let me play this EP ten times a day? We like it, Carolina likes is, and – how huge is this? – Lindsay likes it. That’s all you need to know.
