Helsingborg

Sunday, February 22nd, 2009

Class of the last two weekends.

LAST WEEKEND’S WEATHER - HS: 1-0

THIS WEEKEND’S WEATHER - HS: 0-1

I used to believe that touring was all about the band. Band performing well: good evening. Band performing badly: bad evening.
But some nights, that belief is ripped out of my head. It’s the shows when you realise that it’s really always, always about the audience. Good audience: band performing well. Bad audience: band can’t do anything right.

Our evening in Gävle was just like that. We were thrown in some kind of acid fluent to die for-feeling just because you were so good to us. The shows I have ever done that have been that much fun can be counted on one hand. We are fortunate, the people who come see us play are almost always excellent. But Gävle! What do they put in the water?
We also had a really nice evening in Uppsala. (I unfortunately tried playing Valentine’s day, which I haven’t played in ages. Realised when I got to the cello part that we had no cello.)
Our expectations are now v. high, travelling to Norrköping, Växjö, Lund, and Helsingborg. And now we can relax because Gävle taught us: it’s all about how YOU behave!

This picture (I like to call it Fredrik and the plastic bag) summarizes my relation to creativity. Sometimes, when I feel something strong enough, I get the urge to save it for the future. Often, I just write it down. Writing I know, so it usually ends up ok.

We were in the bus to Skellefteå and we were having such a good time, so I felt I needed to save that moment as well, but by taking a picture. Photography is something I do not know. This is what I ended up with.
