She would have won the Novell Prize

December 10th, 2008

Oh, the joy! Yesterday, I was awarded with the Novell Prize (compare: the much less interesting Nobel Prize, which will be given out today to some dorks). Novell is a really good new Swedish music magazine, and The Novell Prize will be an annual ceremony, celebrating storytelling in music. I was given the award for 25 Days.

Novell writes about it here. I took the liberty of translating for you non-Swedes, using the always very “accurate” Google Translate:

It was Annika Norlin, which was awarded the history first Novellpris at yesterday’s gala at the Theater Scenario. The justification was:

Novell Prize 2008 goes to the renewal, the everyday adventure and the ecstasy lyricists re-supplied. In its vinnarlåt frilägger she abyss under everyday prattle - with universal validity, bitter insights and linguistic ingenuity. For the song “25 Days” is Novell Prize in 2008 to Hello Saferide, Annika Norlin.

In her suit she to celebrate the launch of Novell Prize.
- I think it is time that there will a place like this price, which promotes storytelling in text writing. It has been the Cinderella processed earlier.
