The choir in my chest is like: noooooo

The sound of HS and our feet in the snow this week was never tschoo, tschoo. It was more like and a one, and a two and a three, and PUSH! And a one, and a two, and PUSH! And then, some cursing.

The storm came to Skellefteå and we all had to get out and push the car a number of times. We drove slowly to Östersund the day after, we could hardly see the road when looking out the window. We slept very little. We argued a bit. It was probably the hardest tour we’ve ever done, but luckily the audience was very warm when the weather wasn’t. The way it usually is in the northern parts of Sweden. It’s a frank kindness I relate to the best.

When leaving Nocks in Skellefteå, the car had gotten stuck so bad we all had to push it to go somewhere. (This includes our excellent friends the Two White Horses - well, Jakob did some good shovelling while Lovisa took pictures of him shovelling). Something that still upsets me is how a number of girls from the audience helped us by pushing and carrying guitars, while a number of boys just walked past, not even thinking about lending a hand to the band they just clapped along to. Equality between the genders, boys, was never about being rude.

It felt like we toured the world this weekend because every show was so different. Kulturens Hus in Luleå - huge stage, everyone was very silent, listened closely, and sat down. Nocks in Skellefteå - a small rockclub. Gamla Teatern in Östersund - an old theatre, one of my favorite arenas ever and a very solemn place. Oscars in Sundsvall - a hip club with a small, beautiful stage.

To add the tour up, it was four of the best, and four of the worst, tour days in our lives.

We met a lot of people we hope to meet again. We watched the following films: I am trying to break your heart (about Wilco), Starshaped (about Blur), Top Secret (about nothing), Morrhår & Ärtor, and Lasermannen (all three episodes). We bathed in three different saunas, and I started crying four times. The end. Coming up: Uppsala, and Gävle.

Top Secret is the best movie about nothing you could ever watch.
I´ve recently started listening to your music and I can honestly say that I became somehow addicted. Thanks. Love the lyrics.
I hope to see the band perform live someday. If you ever come to Argentina, let me know…

Yep, I cried like a baby to your song “Anna” when you played in Luleå. Great show!!
