I thought you said summer is going to take the pain away.

And it almost did.
Our summer tour is over. I must admit it’s been a strange summer and when you’re low, getting up in front of thousands of people is pretty hard.
Because of this, I would like to thank all of you from the bottom of my heart, each and every one of you who came to hear us play this summer, because pretty much always, you made everything feel fine.
I love it when you sing along. Don’t think we don’t notice you from stage, because we do. (We also notice those of you who yawn, and the two of you in Hultsfred who had pizza slices during Parenting Never Ends.)
This was us this summer:
Annika Norlin - vocals, guitar
Andreas Mattsson - guitars, piano, vocals
Andrea Kellerman - guitar, vocals, harmonica
Cecilia Linné - cello, vocals
Fredrik Hultgren - drums, vocals
Fredrik Swahn - piano, organ, guitar, vocals
Jens Lagergren - bass, vocals
Joel Eriksson - hi tech guitar wiz
Magnus Eklund - sound, tour manager
At our last show at the Oya Festival this Friday, I tried to hold a speech for these people so they would know just how good they are. I started crying obviously, because this is what I do when I speak about things that are dear to me. (Movie scene where I cry the most: when Ethan Hawke gets up on a bench i Dead Poets Society)
We were also helped by the following people:
Jesper Ohlsson - bookings
Emma Karinsdotter - production
Hugo Sundkvist - made the backdrop
Kina Jönsson - made our clothes
Elin Vikström Aloandersson - my dear friend is an amazing jewellery designer! She made the rings, the necklace, the bracelet and the brooch I’ve been wearing
Next up: More Modern Short Stories From Hello Saferide was just released in Germany, and in South Korea. See you on tour in Germany in late September.

It’s we who should thank you! You (and the rest of the band of course) took all the pain away. Every time.

Yes - see you in Germany. I’ve just taken a few free days for it and I’m sure you’ll take my pain away!

You were not the only one crying. I cried through the whole concert at Øya. Mostly in a good way.
Thank you! Come back to Oslo soon.

I don’t cry very often but during the stand-on-the-benches-scene it’s just impossible to not fall down in fosterställning and cry like a mad woman.

Tack för en underbar spelning på Yran i år. Tyvärr hann jag inte se hela på grund av jobb. Ni gjorde ett väldigt fint 6 februari också, även om ni på scenen kanske inte kände er helt 100% så var det en minnesvärd stund. Stay classy.

Hello there,
Sorry for the late-ish post, but I just want to say that myself and my boyfriend travelled from Ireland to Stockholm for the gig in Tyrol and had an absolutely amazing time. Beautiful city, beautiful gig, beautiful people!
Tack,
C
